Let's find out what's inside our kit to light the fire
Inside the Scout fire starter kit you will find
- 1 flintlock
- 2 flammable cubes
- 2 cotton flakes
- a metal box
all at the modest cost of € 7.90

How do we use our kit to light the fire?
Once we have prepared the outbreak that we prefer most,
let’s break down our scout fire starter.
Let’s start with the first procedure which consists in taking the cotton flake and placing it inside the aluminum box (which will not work on the ground to avoid humidity and wetness which would make the procedure more complicated). Then, with the steel and the special metal plate, scrape the first to generate a series of sparks that allow the cotton to catch fire.
After that we gently move the cotton flake over our fire and then add the flammable cubes on top of it, which will feed the fire more easily and quickly.
After having fed the fire with the little devil it is necessary to start placing a good quantity of slippery on it and then add the coarser wood that will keep the fire bigger and longer.
Final comment
Excellent product for those approaching Bushcraft or survivor activity, especially recommended for those who want a kit to light the fire to keep in their EDC in case of emergency, the price is extremely affordable, the only sore point is the steel, a little too much small to be used comfortably, but on the other hand it is a necessary compromise to contain the dimensions of the Kit
